Yes!. There are already dictators who wreak a reign of terror in their own lands!. They haven't attacked any other countries but are responsible for millions of deaths!. Just look at what's happening in North Korea or some of the countries in Africa!. The rules of the former Burma (Myanmar) have refused outside aide although their people are displaced and dying because of natural disasters!. Middle Eastern states have vowed to wipe Israel off the map!.

Hitler just got allies who were willing to invade with him or to go along with him so they wouldn't be overrun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, those are actually two very different questions!. For the first one of course it's possible, Hitler and the NSDAP may not have ever had the majority but they were elected democratically!. Democracy is no shield against a fascist dictator, fascism can be simplified as a popular totalitarian movement from below!.

As for the destruction though!.!.!. Well, we've already seen several nation-states conduct organized attempts at wiping out particular ethnic and religious minorities so that part is definitely possible!. There are still dictators today, including some pretty brutal ones, but fortunately there aren't really any Hitlers or Stalins out there!. They tend to be in Third World countries, and cause only pain and suffering for their own people!. Sometimes they cause trouble with neighbors or provoke the West, but really, they have no power in our modern world!.

As for another Hitler!? I don't see it happening in the near future!. I believe modern global politics and economics will essentially prevent such a leader from gaining power, or at least limit their influence!.

unfortunately it is extremely possible because people do not learn from there mistakes and the fact that the UN only gives warnings and never actually does anything, so the USA has to come in and look like the bad guy!. Another big factor is the fact that many people loved Hitler when he was running for political leadership, that's right he was elected by the people for the people and was given the job by Hindenburg by pressure of the people!. if some comes to power under a time of need and weakness of the people he can grow to be unstoppable with out the working of other nationsWww@QuestionHome@Com
