There is just TOO much information to cram it all in here! Your question about Garrison is quite valid: even before he formally charged Clay Shaw with conspiracy in JFK's murder, Garrison was being discredited all over!. The people responsible simply could NOT afford for him to be believed,d though the CIA admitted Shaw was one of theirs, AFTER his death!.

Read "On the Trail of the Assassins" by Garrison and then you'll see that those who smear him are scared of the TRUTH!. No doubt, some of those involved are still alive today!

To me, it all comes down to forensics: the exit wound in Kennedy's skull could NOT have come from a rifle in the book depository, and Oswald was a lousy shot with a defective rifle! End of the idea that HE was the "lone gunman"!.

Even the House Select Committee on Assassinations found that a "probable conspiracy" existed but would not indict anyone and dropped it like a hot potato, no doubt after being threatened with the same fate as the witnesses in Garrison's trial!.!.!.as well as Oswald, Ferrie and Ruby themselves!.

Barr McClellan, an attorney who worked for President Lyndon Baines Johnson, wrote a book in which he claims LBJ was responsible for the Kennedy assassination!. Apparently LBJ was about to get into some very hot water for some very shady political dealings, so McClellan claims LBJ was the mastermind behind the plot, and his motive was simple misdirection (READ: Trying to save his own @$$)!. He also claims he has or has seen evidence to prove it!.

Jim Garrison's book "On the Trail of the Assassins" and the book "Crossfire: The Plot to Kill Kennedy" by Jim Marrs blows major holes in the single assassin theory!. I recently saw a special on the Discovery channel where they tried to re-create the shooting and they claim the magic bullet theory is 100% plausible!. PROBLEM: Over thirty witnesses in Dealey Plaza that day said they saw the back of President Kennedy's head "explode!." That was confirmed by Dr!. Peters, the attending ER physician at Parkland Memorial that day, who testified to the House Committee that 20% to 25% of the back of Kennedy's head was missing!. That's COMPLETELY inconsistent with a rear-entry gunshot wound!.

BOTTOM LINE: The government was somehow involved in the assassination plot or the cover-up that followed (or both) but they have destroyed most of the evidence!. What remains is now "sealed" until 2029, when anyone who may be brought to justice for their involvement will be long dead!. No question in my mind there was a conspiracy, but as to who was involved and who actually did the shooting, I have no idea!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are loads of videos and stuff on youtube, and even more opinions to trawl through!.

From what I've seen I do believe there was some sort of cover-up - I'm pretty sure that the official government report said that Kennedy was shot from his behind-right, when you can clearly see in the videos that he was shot from what was in front of him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
