he was a general during the War of 1812 (which may i add is the only affect of the War of 1812 on History)
though the only main battle he won was 2 or 3 weeks after the peace treaty had been signed (dont you just love the War of 1812)
anyways i am a little off the point what i am trying to say if any marshal law was declared even though idont think it was he would have"ruled" i guess

but i guess this is outside info so what i was saying up above is that after the War of 1812 he became a hero of sorts and from that he was able to become president
though afterward everybody hated him cause he killed a lot of indiansWww@QuestionHome@Com
