The depression only began in 1929 and really hit during the 30s!. When I think of the 20s I think of Modernism, the Harlem Renaissance, Women getting suffrage, post-war economy boomWww@QuestionHome@Com

The Lost Generation!. There was an expatriot movement in the United States, particularly represented by our Literati!. T!.S!. Eliot, a St!. Louis boy originally, moved to Paris!. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald moved to France!. Ernest Hemingway was in Europe!.

The war really confused people, they say!. It was the most devastating disaster to befall the world up until that time, with so many young men dead, wounded, or so psychologically damaged that they needed to be institutionalized!.
