Mr!. Nostradamus - ran a drug store in France - around the time of Shakespeare!. Wrote a lot of nonsense which people love to interpret into any sort of thing they want to believe!.

It's really unbelievable how much people want to believe something - like Nostradamus is somehow prophetic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nostradamus was a medical person by profession!. It is debatable if he actually graduated from medical school!. Never the less, he seemed to be helpful with the bubonic plague!. He tried the practice of bleeding where patients are made to bleed in an attempt to drain them of the disease!. He wrote that it doesn't seem to work!. So he must have approached things objectively!. He also burned possessions of the deceased and that would have helped prevent the spread of the disease!.

Late in his life he became an astrologer!. He wrote something call quatrains!. They are considered to be prophesies by many in present times!. But these quatrains are very vague and metaphorical which is a method of astrology to make many conditions seem to fit what is said!. Some say he predicted Hitler leading Germany in a war!. But this still is vague!. He said the the battle will be against the Hister!. He never quite came up with the name Hitler!. It has been speculated that, "Hister," could be in reference to the Danube river!.

Apparently, he was a seer, with the ability to predict future events!. He's famous because his predictions has been, somehow, accurate!. In one of his predictions, in the 18 century, he mentioned the rising to power of Adolf Hitler and what he would do, among other predictions!. There's lots of books about him!. You wont have a hard time finding about him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
