Question: Which countries/regions are the world's first civilizations!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Nile river valley, the Indus river valley, the Yellow River plain, and the Tigris and Euphrates valley, known as Mesopotamia, the land between (meso) the rivers (potamia)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Technically speaking, Mesopotamia was the first to "settle"!. Most historians define a civilization as a "complex society characterized by agricultural practices and dwelling within permanent settlements"!. So the natives on the plains in the U!.S!. were not at this level by the time of their conquest, but the Aztecs were!. China and India are not even close to the oldest, they are just amongst the oldest to survive in an unbroken chain of events!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends what you mean by civilisation; most would say China or India or Egypt, but the first groupings of farmers into towns occured around the Middle East; Mesopotomia!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
