Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: well technology now gives us the capability to wipe out all of mankind with a single weapon!. the development of technology has allowed humans to kill each more then ever before!. eg -- in a war, who ever has the bigger, badder weapon, or bomb, will win!. it is no longer up to an army of men who each must train with their weapon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Irish 1 nailed it!. Gutenberg started it!. Making reading something that most people could then afford to do!. Prior to that, when books had to be copied by hand, very few people had access to them - thus very little incentive to read them!. Then, of course, the Internet!.
