Question: Who was your favorite president and why!?

Mine was JFK!. I loved his directness and certainty!. I didn't agree with all his policies, but he didn't take any crap from anyone!. He was willing to help this country at any cost!. And he did, with his life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My favorite was Lincoln as well!. He was a very charismatic man, who was very intelligent!. He did not let his ego get in the way of mending the fractured country!.

His plan for the Reconstruction of the South would have a much better impact than the one that was used!.

He made his cabinet run smoothly because he was able to make them work out their problems rather that fight each other!. Most of his cabinet members were enemies of each other, but Lincoln chose them because they had qualities that would help the nation in its dark time!.

He lost two sons during his time in the White House, yet he put his duty ahead of his personal needs!. He was assassinated because he stood for Unity, Freedom, and the United States as a idea that was worth fighting for!.

I just wish that George Bush had at least half the honor and dignity of President Lincoln, but he does not even measure up to him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My favorite was Lincoln!. I loved how he was so brave and willing to do anything to support his beliefs!. Since he was only the sixteenth president, he still had so much power (unlike many of out recent presidents who share their power with their cabinet and congress)!. He really was a man who took charge and got things accomplished (and we all know what accomplishments those were!)!. He was also a very witty and charismatic man!. He is quoted to have said "if I was two-faced, would I choose this one!?" in response to a question on whether the Civil War was for his personal gain!. I respect all of our presidents, but it's no secret some are better than others!. My choice for number one would be Lincoln, followed by Washington and Grant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ronald Reagan, basically for some of the reasons you liked JFK, Reagan took no **** from anyone, had a great sense of humour, and managed to create a booming economy!. But mostly because he kicked out Jimmy Carter!. And anyone who hates Jimmy Carter can't be all bad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Andrew Jackson!. The country saw great expansion in the west, the rise of the national treasury, and the expulsion of Native Americans during his presidency!. It is a fascinating period in history to read about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Speaking of not taking crap-Ronald Reagan!. He restored faith in America after a tough Vietnam era, created the largest economic boom in history, took down the other super power!.!.!.!.and much, much more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
