He used crutches after he had polio, I think!. He was confined to a wheelchair for most of his life, but he used heavy leg braces when he went out in public, because people don't like weak presidents!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When he had polio he was near completely immobile !.!.!. more like a wheelchair!. It was after he began the recovery process he began to occasionally use crutches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
