The best book I've ever found on this subject is COLONIAL LIVING by Edwin Tunis!. Not only does it tell you how they lived, but the illustrations are excellent!. It's usually in the children's nonfiction at your library or you can get it through interlibrary loan!.

The colonies you seem to be aiming at are Maryland, Virginia, the Carolinas, and (possibly) Georgia!. A wealthy landowner in the northern colonies was quite different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
