Actually appeasement was a characteristic of the 1930s!. Hitler did not come to power until 1933!.

Examples would be!.!.!.

1) When Hitler reoccupied the Rhineland, France did nothing!.

2) France and Britain did not oppose his rebuilding the German military!. Britain, in fact, signed a treaty with Germany allowing them to exceed Treaty of Versailles Naval limits!.

3) When Hitler occupied Austria with the Anschluss, he was not opposed!.

4) In Munich, European leaders agreed to allow Hitler to annex the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia!. It is notable that Czechoslovakian leaders were not invited to the conference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you mean Franco British appeasement, this actually happened during the 1930's!. Hitler didn't come to power until 1933!.

You could sight The ignoring of the creation of the Luftwaffe in 1935, the demilitarization of the Rhineland in 1936, the ignoring of the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland in 1938, and then subsequently the rest of the then Czechoslovakia by March 1939!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
