Question: Who was runner up in the election of 1860!?
Abraham Lincoln won the election of 1860!.!.!.but who was the runner up!? I know the main candidates were Lincoln, Seward, Douglas, Breckinridge, and Bell!. But if Lincoln wasn't present who would have won!? HELLPPP PLEASE ASAP thanksss :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The runner-up was Southern Democratic candidate, John Breckinridge!. He only managed to carry 11 states to Lincoln's 18, earning him 72 electoral votes to Lincoln's 180!. In terms of the popular vote, Breckinridge had somewhere in the range of 848,019 votes (or 18!.1%), whereas Lincoln managed to capture 1,865,908 votes (or 39!.8%)!.
