Of course it's false!. It only lasted for approximately a decade, and the Volstead Act was the only amendment to the US Constitution to be repealed by a subsequent amendment!.

What is lesser known about Prohibition is that it only outlawed the SALE of alcoholic beverages!. There was NOTHING to stop people from making, possessing, BUYING, or consuming them!. When the speakeasies were raided, the customers weren't arrested, only the owners and sometimes the wait staff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It lasted for less than 15 years!. Hardly permanent!. Moreover, it created the perfect breeding ground for the black market and the mafia, because most people chose to ignore the law, or at least to bend it now and again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

False!. The 18th Amendment was repealed by the 21st Amendment in December of 1933!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
