They are really just like us in some ways, just don't pronounce W's, they say V!.!.!. I have a friend who moved to Germany for about 6-8 years and he is really cool!. He said they are STILL trying to recover from the past two World Wars! They are a really unique society and have amazing freedoms, such as the drinking age and speed!. I actually heard that you can get a ticket there if you DON'T pass somebody who is slowing you down in a lane! That is awesome! Germans are like Americans, just a few differances and there government seems to be made for the people's enjoyment!.!.!. unlike 50 years ago!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

History, geography, climate and social conditions/culture shape all nations!. Wish I knew more!.!.!.I remember reading about Rome how the Germans were being pushed by more barbaric peoples (Vandals!?) and soon Germans sacked rome!.!.!.

Let's see they like to drink beer, eat weinerschnitzel, sing, etc!. Maybe the positioning of their country in Europe has a lot to do with their history!. Both Russia and Germany were the heavyweights in modern European history!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My grandmother is from Germany and I can tell you that they are a VERY proud people!. Even through all their mistakes they are proud to be German!.
They are quite stubborn and hard-headed, but like to have some fun also!.

As for what makes them different from other nations, Their history helps, they lived through the wars too and made it!. It wasn't the whole country that fought!. They were bombed and a lot of people lost their lives, they lived through communism and the wall, and today they have one of the best economy in Europe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My grandmother is German!. What I can tell you is this!.!.!. they can be very strict, firm people!. However, they are quite intelligent and have the absolute BEST maternity leave for both moms AND dads when the baby is born!. Most of the Germans I know are also pretty creative, well-traveled and hard working!.

Personally, I don't think many of them are that pretty (I sure know my grandmother isn't) and I don't much care for the spitting sound they have when they speak German (hence the reason I always fought learning German!.!.!. taking after my father's side and learning Spanish instead)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i am australian, but i recognize germany as a great place!. highest economy in europe, many inventions in their name, hitler was a great leader, (before WWII, (i know i sound like a nazi, but he did do a lot of good things for germany)) they have awesome cars, great people & culture, great cities and it seems to be a great place to be!. i hope to travel there some day
