There's a book entitled "The American Occupation of Germany, 1945-1949", by John Gimbel!. The problem is that it does not cover the entire Allied occupation!.
Another book, "Germany: 1945-1949" by Manfred Malzahn is more complete, but too scholarly!.
An interesting book on the Denazification of Soviet-Germany was published about a year ago, but I forget the name of the author!.
The Real Odessa, by Uki Goni deals with the Nazis that were smuggled to South America!.
Hope it helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I actually don't know of any books that deal strictly with that time period but Mary Fulbrook wrote a book called "History of Germany from 1918-2000" that certainly covers the time period in question!.

She has a chapter on whether or not the division of Germany was a foregone conclusion as well as what the Americans and Soviets, not to mention what would become the FRG and GDR, did to either hinder or complete a re-unification!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah!.!.!.ever heard of the WORLD BOOK ENCYCLOPEDIA!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
