Castro went to the US, cap in hand, to ask for help for his popular revolution movement, against a Mafia controlled government!. The US didn't want anything to do with the "country bumpkin" words I believe were used!. Probably pressured by politicians and people like Joe Kennedy who was an original bootlegger during the prohibition era!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It was tough!. The USSR provided much financial support for Cuba!. But they managed to hold on - despite the US tightening the embargo!. Cuba does indeed look beautiful - you should go!.
