From India:

Cotton Textiles
Carpets
Muslin
Calico
Pepper
Cinnamon
Opium
Indigo
Tea
Teak

Europe wanted to trade in these goods because of the European demand for them, obviously!. Exotic spices, especially Pepper, were popular for adding flavour to otherwise bland dishes!. Cotton textiles were a popular alternative to the wool clothing which was most common in Europe at the time!. Indian and Persian Carpets were very popular, and were used as blankets rather than carpets!. The wealthy classes in Europe had high demand for furniture made out of exotic woods like Teak and Rosewood, which they used as status symbols in their homes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tea!. MAJOR IMPORT!. After that, it was spices and rice!.

Tea was a health drink!. People who drank tea tended to have fewer ailments because the water was boiled!. It didn't have the same drawbacks as alcohol!. It was socially acceptable and everyone drank it!. Tea could not be grown in the European climates!.

Rice was a base food!. You could use it for almost anything and it kept better than potatoes or wheat!. Everyone who could afford it bought it!. The military used it a lot!.

Spices like cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns, and nutmeg were all native to India, Malaysia, the Maluccas, and other parts of east Asia!. They all tasted good and all had their uses!. Europeans wanted them so bad that pepper was worth its weight in silver at one point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
