Depends on when you are asking about!. Ancient Egypt was a civilization that lasted 3000+ years until the Christian era!. The methods of burial changed over time!. During the earliest period poor people were buried in the desert sands - at the end of the period poor people tried to mummify their relatives as well as they could afford!. The earliest burials have survived the best, of course, they are the most difficult to locate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They had very small "houses" where the whole family would be entombed!. There was a very rough sort of mummification, but of course it was done very quickly and these burial sites probably smelled very bad!. There is a large burial area close to the Pyramids, where the workers on the Pyramids were buried!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
