Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Gilgamesh is a Mesopotamian Epic hero!. (this is hazy) He was a king of a great city, and the Gods grew jealous and sent a wild man to fight him!. They fought all over, and became friends in the fight!. He and his wild man friend journeyed over & did great things; which made the gods angrier- so they sent a woman to bedevil the wild man!. Another bit that sticks in my head is Gilgamesh seeking the man who survived the flood & learned the secret of immortality!. But, for some reason- he loses the secret & returns from his quest empty handed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Gilgamesh is a story about the title character who was a warrior-king in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq)!. It is significant because it's the oldest story in the world pre-dating things like the Old Testament by a thousand years or more, originating ~2600BC(E)!. It's used to tell people about one of the first civilizations in the world ie: how they lived, worshipped, hunted, made war, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Giglamesh!? Or Gilgamesh!? Gilgamesh was the historical/legendary King of Uruk!. Uruk was a kingdom in Babylonia, on the River Euphrates in modern Iraq; he lived about 2700 B!.C!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think you meant Gilgamesh!? He is a Sumerian king before the era of Babylon!.
