Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The Name of the german army during WWII was Wehrmacht!. Army in this case translat with Armee!. Wehrmacht = Armee!. Armee = Heer, Kriegsmarine und Lufrwaffe!. The Wehrmacht was divied in the army, navy and air force!. The german translation is Heer (army), Kriegsmarine (navy) and Luftwaffe (airforce)!. But a soldier of the Heer was a member of the Wehrmacht as same as a soldier of the navy or airforce!. Therefore the highest leader of the Wehrmacht was Adolf Hitler!. So Hitler was the highest leader of the Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe aswell!. The particular chief of Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe changed during the war!. To name 2 for the Kriegsmarine, Erich Raeder and Karl D?nitz!. For Luftwaffe i guess it was Hermann G?ring from beginning to the end in 1945!. From the Heer there are many!.
