He just meant that difficulties present opportunities!. The difficulty of an unsolved math or science problem, for instance, provides the opportunity to solve the problem!. Another example could be from competetive running!. The difficulty of facing another fast runner provides the opportunity to break records!. It is very difficult to set a record unless you are challenged by someone else!. The challenge of difficulty makes you run faster or think better!. Therefore, in the middle of difficulity lies opportunity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is another way of saying "something gone wrong is an opportunity to do it right"!.
