Adolf Hitler is by far the most prominent man (and leader) in the history of the world!. Not only did he create an ideology that had at its heart a horrible thought: the elimination of an entire people; Hitler also sought to bring Europe (and swathes of Asia) under his control in his dreamy ambitions of creating a "Greater Germany"!. Hitler was the man who gave the order for the first shot of the most destructive war in history to be fired!. His single of ordering the invasion of Poland on September 1st, 1939 led to the death of 9 million people in Concentration, Work and Death camps and this number is just part of the larger and even more horrifying value that is 72 million people killed!. That is just under 4% of the world's population at the time!.

If we were to calculate that value (4% of 6!.6 Billion ) we get 240'000'000 - if right NOW there was to be a war as distructive as World War II we would lose over 240 million people - that is a horrendous number of people to die, let alone imagine!.

Excuse my little sidetracking but let's return to the main focus: Adolf Hitler!. His actions of launching the Second World War will affect us for years to come!. Because of Hitler we have:
*The Cold War
*The end of Colonisation (as a result of World War II many freedom fighters/terrorists acquired weapons and military training)
*The Arab-Israeli conflict (his rise to power and the Holocaust led to many Jewish survivors heading to Israel this led to [in conjunction with Britain's relinquishing of their mandate of Palestine] the independence of Israel in 1948)
*The rise of the two superpowers, the USSR and the USA
*The creation of the Atom Bomb (the Bomb was originally planned for use on Nazi Germany)
*Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon (Werner von Braun, considered by some as being the "Father of Rocketry", chose to hand himself over to the invading American forces in 1945)
*The fame of Anne Frank and her diaries (may she rest in peace) - no Hitler=no war=no famous diaries
*Infamous concentration and death (Hitler didn't invent these, the British did during the Boer wars) camps in little, seemingly innocent, towns of Auschwitz, Natzweiler, Treblinka and Che?mno (to name just a few)

I could go on and on but these are the main things that Hitler has (indirectly) given us that affect world affairs even today!.

Hope this has helped,

whether you like it or not, it would be Adolf Hitler!. He was the first man in over 100 years to do what Napoleon Bonaparte did, but with a modern twist!. He fashioned the new facist ideas, which was not a good thing, but during those times, new government was the cool thing!. He solved economic crisis, and was the greatest public speaker of all leaders in this world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
