Previous owners is easy, you go the the local county recorders office and do a search on the property - technically it's a title search!. It's a public record, so you can do it yourself, the clerk should help you!.

Who "lived" in the house is more difficult, if the house was rented out, you might not be able to find records on that!.

I don't believe that anybody keeps death records linked to address of death - for that information you'd have to search newspaper indexes for any mention of that street name in connection with a death and search out the street number manually!. Even then you might miss it!. It certainly isn't as easy as they make it look in the movies!.

The real estate requirement to inform the prospective buyer is fairly recent and I believe it's limited to what the current owner "knows" - so if the current owner doesn't know about a death in the house, how can they tell you about one!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well !.!.!.in some states or city/counties like where I live !.!.the Real Estate Office selling a particular house are obligated by law to disclose the historyof the house (if asked), like if someone died there and the circumstances of the death !.!.!.like if a murder happened there or a suicide!. Check with the real estate offcice that sold the house or with the county assessor office or county registrar's office!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
