I have done a lot of reading on this subject, and there is a rediculous amount of evidence supporting the fact that it did take place, and to the extent claimed!. So what evidence do the naysayers have that COULD actually be taken into account!? I don't think there is any, but I'm asking anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No - the denialists (good word Cabal) that Pokeahounddog mentioned are largely discredited, Irving has been jailed for some of the tripe that he has written!. The numbers of dead has never been fully established, and has varied a little over time, depending on the calculating method!. However, quibbling over whether it was 4, 5 or 6 million does seem to be trite!. If one person is singled out because of their ancestry, persecuted and murdered, this would be a terrible crime!. So six million - the figure that most historians agree on, is the most foul murder in history - it's Manchester and Glasgow, with Chicago thrown in for good measure!. Denialists are simply pathetic teenage w@nkers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com These 'academics' are Holocaust deniers; David Irving, Harry Elmer Barnes, David Hoggan, Paul Rassinier, Arthur Butz and many many more!. They have published books and articles on it although having not read any of them I can only assume they are of wary historical validity!. Some don't dent the holocaust but the numbers that died!. Others say the Nazi's only meant to imprison Jewish people and others for the duration of the war and died from illness!. Just type into google: holocaust deniers and you'll find numerous links!. But countries like Iran try to deny it for some reason!. **terrorists** There are surviving jews with serial tattoos on them, and accounts from numberous WWII vets from America and Russia that can verify the horrors at these "labor camps"!. They will even take the fact that the average German in general did not know how monstrous the death camps were as 'proof' that those camps did not exist, censorship and dictatorship be damned!. Ask a survivor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The 'evidence' that is used to refute the Holocaust is actually taking bits of facts out of context and manipulating them to pretend that the actual evidence is 'fake!.' For instance, one of the big tactics is to point out that the manufacturer's suggested use of Zyklon B ( the gas used in the death chambers) is to permeate a room for 12 hours - the idea is that the Germans could never have killed 6 million people in only three years if each group of victims were locked into a room for 12 hours as there would not be enough time!. This statement, however, intentionally ignores the fact that while the gas takes 12 hours to kill insects in a furnished room at low temperature, it is extremely quick and effective in a room packed with excited warm-blooded people who are breathing heavily and warming the air with their body heat!. They also say that the factory that produced the gas was destroyed in an Allied air raid in 1944, but neglect to mention that the gas was manufactured under license at other facilities after that!. They also say that in a survey of one of the gas chambers, a scientist found no traces of the chemicals in the gas, but fail to mention that the survey was done over fifty years after the chamber had been demolished and was exposed to wind and rain for all that time!. The naysayers are so adament for several different reasons!. Some people felt that the US had opposed the wrong country in WWII (The Soviet Union was also particularly evil, yet they were an ally against Germany), yet it is morally difficult to say that while admitting that the people they wanted to fight along side of were so evil!. Others are so racially hostile to Jewish people that they feel they must take away the Holocaust, one of the defining events in Jewish history, and thus show that Jewish people are so evil that they would fake something so horrible to garner artificial sympathy so they can futher get ahead in their plans to control the world and enslave everyone else (based on the faked Protocols of the Elders of Zion)!. I hope this will help you to understand what is going on!. And, no, it is not a silly question!.
