Well the biggest thing that leaps to mind is the communist country the Soviet Union exsisted from 1922 to the early 1990s!.

Prior to WWI there had been an unsuccesful revolution in 1905!. While this had helped move change in Russia at a slighty faster pace, it hadn't been fast enough!. And worse, it had been sparked by the failure of the Czar's troops in the Ruso-Japanese war!. Failure had lead to a failed revolution, something to take note of because the Russian people certainly took note of failure!. And WWI was exactly that for the Czar's troops, another failure, this time on an even grander scale!. Russia had failed to win the war in what the people had to feel was a reasonable amount of time!. And worse, the cost of fighting the war was rising, both economically and in terms of Russian lives lost!. Finally in 1917 the people had it and the February Revolution overthrew the Czarist government and replaced it with a provisonal government!. Lenin then lead the October Revolution that lead to the overthrow of the provisional government!.

This in turn lead to the Russian Civil War from 1917 to about 1922!. The result of the civil war lead to Russia becoming the Soviet Union!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
