This is a good question, I guess I should be with all the earthquakes and tornados this spring!. I do know people that have stockpiles of supplies and started doing it after 9-11!. Thanks earthquakeman!.!.!. I may have to work on that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I prefer not to squander resources for myself!. If a natural disaster were to occur in Kansas (where I am) I'm sure the government would send help like they always do!.
I think the bigger question is why are we worrying about preparing for a disaster that may or may not happen when we could be worrying about the famines that are occuring elsewhere right now!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

My gas, water & propane tanks aren't full!. Guess I need to take care of that!. If it's war or fire I would head to the river!. We have a houseboat & camper way, way out in the woods on a hunting lease & a generator & a bateau & guns!. Jim says we'd head for the swamps!. I need supplies, bug spray!. I've always had a plan, guess I'm not really prepared!. If the disaster were weather related, I'd stay home!. This house is brick & has survived many, many, many huricanes!. We're about 70 miles NW of New Orleans, In Louisiana!. Guess I'm not really prepared because I've been procrastinating!. Glad you asked this, it's been fun!. Can't wait for the weekend!. Stay watchful and listen to weather casts and newscasts!. You cannot plan for disasters because you may not be at home when it happens!. You just to need to be vivilant and pay attention!. Learn everything you can about how to stay safe in all disasters!. Don't panic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I feel I am prepared as I can be!. Flashlights (batteries and bulbs); keep gas tank & cans full; first-aid supplies; stocked food (non-perishible); portable generators & extension cords; camp stove for cooking; stocked (&rotated) containers of drinking water; bag of extra clothes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unless it carries me away, swllows me whole, inundates me, whirls me away!.!.!.no; however, my tank is full in the car and bike, there's gas in the LP tank for water, food, shower, heating!. The house in concrete and the roof tile!.
