Greatest event from 1-1500 was the life death, and resurrection of Jesus!. He was and is and is to come!. Pickup a Bible!. Find out why we need Him in our lives!.

Greatest event 1500 to present would be World War II coming to an end!. Without the invention of the nuclear bomb, it is possible that we might still be at war today!. Though it sparked many conflicts, it was the last major war and was definitely one of its kind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The greatest event between 1-1500 would be the life and death of Christ!. It doesn't matter whether you believe in Christ or not, he affected history more than any single man or event!. Our entire calendar structure is based around his life!.

Between 1500-present is more difficult!. I'm tempted to say the 1517 posting of the 95 Theses by Martin Luther, but I'm not fully satisfied with that answer!. I think I would say the 1588 defeat of the Spanish Armada!. Had England been defeated, I would probably be writing this in Spanish today!. The empire that the sun never set on would have never been created!. The entire world, West and East, would look different today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have to agree with sgatlantisrose, the Bubonic Plague, or the 'Black Death,' was certainly one of the greatest events in world history!. In effect, it turned the feudal societies upside down!. As for the birth of jesus, that is not a significant event for people who are not christians, and as the events of the Black Death show us - this imaginary religious figure could do nothing to stop the suffering and deaths of millions and millions of people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

From 1CE-1500!. The Black Plague!. It wiped out 1/4 to 1/3 of Europe's population, as well as drastically affecting Africa!. The changes it helped bring about set up the conditions which would see European expansion and the modern world!.

1500-present!. The First Man in Space!. This has led to our first fumbling steps on expanding from our home planet to other worlds!. It's still too early to tell if we will in fact end up colonizing other planets, or even solar systems, but without the first launch we would be terminally Earthbound!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1 - 1500 so much history to choose from!. Probably the invention of the printing press - it democratised knowledge!.
1500 - now, probably the space race (all of it, from Gagarin to the Shuttle) because mankind dared to dream about beyond the EarthWww@QuestionHome@Com
