Question: Some chinese movies depicts them flying through the air with ease!. Like during fighting scenes!. Is there!?

a history behind it!. Did chinese used to know how to fly!?!? Why do alot of their movies show them flying in mid-air and such!. I would like to know!. also, because when i was young my great grandfather used to tell me that chinese once flew!.!.!.but i was young then so i dont know if its true or not!. It's part of there mythology !. Spirits and demons that appear human but can do amazing things like flying !. So Chinese movies that show a character flying around while he or she is fighting is simply making that character greater than a mere mortal like you and I !. Even if in the end that character turns out to be just mortal !. Which they often do as the hero in many Chinese stories often dies or suffers a great loss that returns them to being just mortal like you and I again !. Some of them were trained to jump high, but the movies took it a bit farther to make it more exciting!. Poetic license it what it's called!.
