Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, actually!. After World War I, Germany was not in very good shape!. It was poor agriculturally, and there wasn't much industry!. Emplyoment was at an all time low!.

Hitler provided strong leadership and an efficiant buerocratic system in which things could be accomplished without much hassle!.

Under Nazi rule, Dams, Roads, and Railroads were built [1]!. Unpmployment (some sources say) was nearly eliminated!. Hitlet himself encouraged major architechtural undertakings!.

Of course, once the second World War started, the German economy primarily emphasized war-production!. This gave jobs to people!.!.!.esentially all industrial output was for materials of war!. In the United States we see cities like Detroit become the Arsenal of Democracy!.!.!.same thing happened in nazi germany!.

The Deutsch-mark gained power durring Nazi Rule!.

It should also be noted that Hitler believed in economic expansion through war!. That is, conqueor other nations and then use their wealth and resources for Germany's own good!.
( A rather base idea if you ask me, but similar to what the United States is doing, and essentially the reason Wars have been fought since the begining of time!.)

Your overal view ('hope' and 'brainwashing') is not at all incorrect!. Goebbels was in charge of propaganda, and essentially was in charge of lying to the people

Wikipedia (which you should check out) claims that both the United States (under FDR) and russia, borrowed from Hitler's Four-Year plan to fix their economies durring the great depression!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well!.!.!. he restructured the state economy, rearmed the armed forces and of course, he seemingly gave hope to the Germans with the use of his charisma!. After all, he thought that his purpose in life was to 'save Germany!."

But actually, much of the financing for Hitler's reconstruction and rearmament came from currency manipulation by Hjalmar Schacht, including the clouded credits through the Mefo bills!.

Hitler also oversaw one of the largest infrastructure-improvement campaigns in German history, with the construction of dozens of dams, autobahns, railroads, and other civil works!. Hitler's policies emphasized the importance of family life: men were the "breadwinners", while women's priorities were to lie in bringing up children and in household work!. This revitalizing of industry and infrastructure came at the expense of the overall standard of living, at least for those not affected by the chronic unemployment of the later Weimar Republic, since wages were slightly reduced in pre–World War II years, despite a 25% increase in the cost of living!. Laborers and farmers, the traditional voters of the NSDAP, however, saw an increase in their standard of living!.

Hitler's government sponsored architecture on an immense scale too!. Although Hitler made plans for a Breitspurbahn (broad gauge railroad network), they were preempted by World War II!. Had the railroad been built, its gauge would have been three metres, even wider than the old Great Western Railway of Britain!.

Hitler contributed slightly to the design of the car that later became the Volkswagen Beetle and charged Ferdinand Porsche with its design and construction!. Production was also deferred because of the war!.

But he did all those things mostly for propaganda!. He secured supreme political power and went on to gain Germany's support by convincing them that they would be saved by him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well!.!.if u look at germany nowadays, ull see hitler's contribution!.!.because after the defeat in WW1,germany was a country with all kinds of mess!.economically,socially!.in order to bring germany out of that mess, hitler came out of the flock, came out with new world order that is to conquer the world and eventually bring germany as one of the world power!.!.although for a limited time, germans do felt like they can get out of their problems!.!.that is why hitler is very celebrated by germans!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hitler did many things to aid the German people, as outlined by some of the answers above me!. He was also a great leader, but sadly his ideals were definitely in the wrong place!.

I think it's a bit pathetic that someone is giving all the positive answers a thumbs down, like it or not, Hitler was a good leader and helped Germany out of a major depression!. Yes, he was a terrible man who orchestrated many shocking atrocities, but at the same time it must be respected that for Germany at the time, he was a great leader!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He did a few (very poor) paintings, but can't think of too much else good that he did!. Oh yeah, he won a medal in World War One, so he must have been brave at some point in his life!. The best thing he ever did was shoot himself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
