Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Anschluss was the annexation of Austria by Nazi Germany (though it is pretty well established that the majority of Austrians were in favour of unification with Germany at the time)!. The Weimar Republic was the weak parliamentary state that governed Germany from the end of World War I until Hitler took power in the early 30's!. The WR period was characterised by hyperinflation of prices and extreme political instability!.Www@QuestionHome@Com hmm well i tihnk the Anschluss was the reuniting of Germany and Austria in 1938!.!. Because during the Treaty of Versailles Germany was forbidden to ally with Austria, The Weimar Republic was meant to be the provisional "democratic" government set up after the WW1 in 1919 where the new constitution was made!. It basically meant there was now a democracy rather than a semi-autocracy when the Kaiser was in power before the War!. It's leader was the SPD guy, Ebert and basically right wing hated him for not being nationalistic enough when signing the Treaty and Communists hated them because they wanted more radical social change!.
