oooohhhh, easy!. my history teacher would kill me if i didn't answer this!!
okay so during the civil war ironclad battleships were invented (rather than wooden ships they were covered in up to one or more feet of iron to stay afloat even under cannon fire) also ships began using steam power!. the south actually invented the submarine at this time and would use it to tow torpedos behind them, go under a ship then time it just right to come up right as the torpedo was directly under the ship and blow it up!.!.!.didn't always work though!
next, since it was a civil war, one country felt all of the losses--we lost soooo many young men and boys that we felt the loss for a generation!. so many of the soldiers from both sides were just like 16 year olds and stuff that we kind of had a lack of men between certain ages for a while because so many died!. hope this helps a little bit!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Civil War devastated the South as well as the North!. Many people lost their lives!. The North paid a price too, but the most financial devastation and upheaval came to the South!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
