What would Europe and the world look like if the USA never entered WW1 and then just fought Japan during WW2 after they bombed Pearl Harbor!. Or didnt fight anyone at all and played it like Swizerland and just stayed neautral!. Would Hitlers 3rd Reich still be in power and Japan have control of the pacific!? Or would the Russians, British have beated Germany and controled all of Europe as a Communist Empire!? Ok begin the debate NOW!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Interesting question!. Regarding World War I, it's really anyone's guest!.

See, by that time, the war had been going on for such a long time that both sides were at a stalemate!. Nobody was really winning, nobody was really losing; the borders over which they fought barely moved!.

It's extremely difficult to guess what would have happened next if the two sides continued to push each other!. It's like having a tug of war with the people on each side pulling at roughly the same rate!. What's gonna happen!? We don't know!. Get yourself a chair and watch!. It'll be a while so bring a puzzle with you!.

Had America not joined World War II, the Cold War wouldn't have happened, at least not in the way we experienced!. The America vs USSR were due much to distrust!. USA and USSR were World War II allies, but the US dropped the atomic bomb without letting Russia know, so Russia began to hold it in distrust and began building up weapons of its own!. The US saw that and built up weapons too!. Each side became scared of each other and just tried to fortify themselves better, getting nations to join them so they could fight the other side when the time came (though it never did -- kinda makes you think)!.

History would certainly be different!. Communists still may have tried to take over the world, and since the US wouldn't have been in any position to keep them at bay, they might well have accomplished their goal of painting the world red!.

So, you might be right -- Communists might still have Europe, but even more than that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The US would have ended up fighting Japan because they attacked first!. That war would have ended sooner if they had not entered the European arena because all of the resources could have been thrown into the Pacific area!.

It is probable, bt not 100%, that had the US not backed Great Britain when it did, Europe would have become one large Germany; however, it is doubtful the Nazis would have continued to reign once they ran out of enemies to rally their people against!. Hitler was a very superstitious person and would probably not have been able to continue once his staff realized just how far around the bend he actually was!. Eventually, in order to maintain the power structure and the people's will behind them, like most dictatorial governments, they would have to keep finding new enemies - this not only rallies the people but also gives someplace to exped energies that might have been used against their dictatorship!. Eventually the countries of the Americas would have been attacked and would have to defend themselves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, for one, I wouldn't have so much trouble learning German as there'd be a lot more people speaking it!.

Britain was against the wall and the only thing keeping an all out invasion was the Royal Navy and the RAF!.

It's possible Hitler would have made peace with Britain, withdrew from France within a couple of years and concentrated on Russia, or that's what he said he wanted to do in Mein Kampf!.

The truth of the matter was that some of the British nobility was outright German as was most of the Royal Family!. In fact, I believe Prince Philip had relatives that fought for the Germans!. also, there was a movement by the White Russians to invade and restore the Russian monarchy!.

When the Americans overran Germany, they raided the German patent office!. To this effect, they gave German patents to American companies!. Germany was so far advanced as apposed to America and Britain that the only thing that kept them from winning the war was time and resources!.

If the war had been delayed only a year or two, they would have had the time and resources diverted to have the atomic bomb, and other super weapons that still are classified!.

Just do a google search on German V 7 and see what amazing things that they had come up with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well WW1 would probably have ended in teh same fashion with or without the U!.S!. Britain still had tons of soldiers to go, and the Italians were a breath of fresh air to France!. Germany got within 30 miles of paris before they were pushed back by a joint American/French/British force due to the fact that they advanced so far ahead that they were extremely low on supplies!. So yea WW1 would have been the same except probably take a bit longer without the aid of American Soldiers, so I'd assume more meat grinding in the trenches!.

WW2 may have been different!. For the msot part, the Soviet Union had done the most overall damage to Germany!. Operation Barbossa saw the death of millions of German and Russian soldiers, as well as civilians!. Leningrad and Stalingrad proved fatal battles/sieges for the Germans!. However, U!.S!. aid was probably vital in order to "pincer" attack germany from the West (U!.S!., France, U!.K!. Canada), and the East (Soviet Union)!.

America can't just fight Japan, Germany declared war on America!.

Switzerland was only neutral because fighting them IN switzerland gave them a huge advantage because of the thousands of narrow passages and trails along mountains!. If played right, Switzerland could have chokepoint'd many of their passages!.

Japan would not have been able to hold the pacific!. Without U!.S!. involvement the war would have gone on longer, and just a few years after the end of the war, Soviet Union got the A-bomb, which THEY would have just used on Japan!. That and the Joint Russian/Chinese attacks on Japanese controlled manchuria would have driven them out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Germany declared war on the USA in WWII, not the other way around!. We would have fought both Japan and Germany either way unless the Pearl Harbor attack didn't happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a lot different answer than probably expected, but the US would have never gotten out of the Great Depression if World War II had never happened!.
