Question: Can Someone Please Help Me!?!?

Several of the civilizations we have explored have different gods and goddesses which are featured prominently in their myths and legends!. How would you compare the ancient Greek myths to the stories and beliefs that you grew up with regarding the forces that control nature!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you probably already understand the Greek myths, and the fact that the ancient Greeks believed different gods controlled different forces of nature!. Sun gods, moon gods, ocean gods, etc!.

As for your own stories and beliefs while growing up, you probably heard a few stories as a child, like the sound of thunder is God bowling, or that there are more murders when the moon is full, or that there's a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, etc!. And as you got older you learned hard science, which told you that rain was the result of evaporation and condensation, that the tides were controlled in part by the moon, that global warming is resulting in higher temperatures on earth, etc!.

You can just contrast what someone your age living in Ancient Greece thought caused natural events (various gods), what you thought controlled them as a child (children's fables), and what you think control them now (scientific view)!.
