1!. Much of Northern France was destroyed
2!. No, but 8 million men out of a population of 20 million French men were conscripted to fight!.
3!. The refugees fled South to Paris or to Southern France

1- yes in the north and east (where were the batllefields)
2- no, france was a democracy!
3- to refugee camps
4- not really!. during wwI airplanes were only for observation and airfights!. in the end of the war, there were some air bombing, but only in the battlefields!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
