LOL sounds like you have problems with your homework #P
He advocated his ideas by peaceful disobediance, not rioting just, peacefully saying NO to the unjust laws that were bieng passed!. IF th eBrits taxed something they just didn't use it, like textiles, they started doing their own cloths and not buying the manufactured stuff so end result Britan lost money by increasing taxes on textiles!. Was he succesfu!? the Brits left India din't they!? hope it helpsWww@QuestionHome@Com

Not sure what you mean by "advocate"
Gandhi was a community leader - during his time, the Indian people were looking for independence!. Unlike the Americans, the Indians did not have the option of fighting a war {they would have lost no doubt - attempts in rebellion were not successful in the Indian indepdnece movement}!. Gandhi's idea was to achieve independence through nonviolence - some peace marches, fasting, but no physical violence!. OF COURSE he was "successful in advocating his idea"! India gained independence on August 15, 1947 and Gandhi is not only an Indian hero, but a hero worldwide {due to his REVOLUTIONARY ideas of nonviolence}Www@QuestionHome@Com
