The U!.S!. policy for WWI was isolationism and for WWII it was also isolationism until Pearl Harbor was attacked!.

neutrality!. the war began in 1914 and the usa entered it in 1917 (and only because russia pulled out due to their civil unrest)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The US got involved in the war because they wanted to help Britain and France, after the sinking of Lusitania (where 117 american citizens perished) the US got their reason to declare war on GermanyWww@QuestionHome@Com
