Question: Marie antoinette and Louis XVI!?

Can anyone tell me about the major contributions that Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI gave to the French revolutionary war!?!?!?!? also, can you tell me about each of the reign!?!?!?

The king and Queen were to a large extent blamed for the economic situation in France, though in fact it had already been bad before Louis XVI became King!. Marie Antoinette in particular was unpopular because she was a foreigner, and because her extravagance was blamed for the bad economic situation, though in fact her spending barely made any difference at all to the economic situation!. They were also accused of hoarding grain at Versailles when there were food shortages!.

Louis XVI actually made some attempts to improve the situation, he tried to get the nobility to agree to be taxed for instance, but they resisted all his attempts at reform!. Louis and Marie Antoinette were really made scapegoats for things that were not entirely their fault!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Vaguely, the Emperor and the Empress gave the people a reason to rebel!. They over taxed the common people and did nothing to help the poor and the citizens of France in need!. They ignored the pleas of the people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
