I will go with Halsey too!. He had vision and was less vainglorious than many of the others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Halsey was truly a great admiral, but his boss was a man of unique in site who fired a few and kept the good admirals to fight and plan our actions!. my vote would have to go to admiral Chester Nimitz, a small man from Texas who never saw the ocean till he joined the navy!. he was the last of our fleet admirals and commander of the pacific fleet in WWIIWww@QuestionHome@Com
