Question: Compare and contrast the American Revolutionary War to the Civil War!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Well a major comparison in these conflicts is that of the belief of people that are considered one nation that it should be divided into two separate nations (The United States wanted a split from England, the South wanted to form its own government)!. However, the reason behind the revolutionary war split was due to how far away England was from the colonies!. They believed that it wasn't fit to govern a part of the world that they had otherwise little involvement in!. also the tax money levied on the colonies wasn't really going to help expand and upkeep the colonies (taxation without representation)!. However, the south wasn't so much seceding due to unfair taxation and inefficient government, rather it was due to disagreement with policy (a large part of it was the separation of power between states and the federal government)!.
