Well competition was discouraged largely due to barriers to entry!. Starting up and owning a factory was very capital intensive, and very few had the means to do so!. To further compound this problem was the fact that if it wasn't a relatively new industry, it was hard to displace the current giants in that field without a lower price or higher quality (both of which would have put an even higher financial strain on a company that already invested much to even start the business in the first place)!.

However, as for encouraging competition, there were many fields where there was more than one big company running the show, and these are the industries that saw the biggest competition!. They were always trying to undercut their competitors prices or produce a higher quality or brand new product in these markets (which would probably be more correctly defined as oligopolies)!. This led to economic growth due to the higher output and higher customer satisfaction due to this stiff competition between sellers with large amounts of money to spare!.

However, both of these aspects of the industrial businesses came at the price of the common worker!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

hey you can do two things, on google type in Industrial revolution, it will pop up with millions of details so you can do your 11 essays without Daley or one of his pals( i still think its daley tho)!.!.!.the guy that answered before me !.!.!.He will know u cheated!.

during the industrial revolution many business people started to set a standard, denying people who didn't satisfy the standard, making more and more people do everything necessary to get jobs making it even harder to gain jobs making the standard go higher and higher!. (encouraged with the standard, disencouraged with evreyone meeting the standard)Www@QuestionHome@Com
