Question: Were Asians killed in the Holocaust of World War 2 i Europe!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
There wasn't a large Asian population in Europe, or very many Europeans of Asian descent!. They were not singled out by Nazi racial policies!.

However, many Soviet POWs were executed in Nazi death camps, and the present-day Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan were Soviet republics which contributed to the Red Army!. So, yes, Asians were killed in the Holocaust!. If you consider Siberia and the Caucasus to by in Asia (geographically they are, but ethnically and culturally they are not), then executed Soviet POWs from those areas would be included too!.

Many Gypsies, which have their origins in India, were slaughtered by the Nazis, but I wouldn't call them Asian!.

** Note that blakenyp is right that the Holocaust technically refers specifically to the Nazi extermination of European Jews!. I just assumed that the asker was referring to the greater scope of Nazi genocides, as it is a common mistake!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Technically the term Holocaust refers only to the oppression of the Jews!. While many other people were persecuted by the Nazis, their experience does not fall under the Holocaust!.

However, the Japanese created a similar camp system to the ones used by the Nazis where they kept many PoWs from China and other conquered Asian lands!.

RebeccaJV's comment makes no sense, as it assumes all Asians are Japanese!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bob is right!. For an expansion on the theme, note that there were a few Koreans captured on the beaches of Normandy!. It seems they'd been used by the Japanese in Manchuria, captured by the Russians, used by them, captured by the Germans, and used to help build the Atlantic wall!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Asians were most definitely killed in battle, but I am not aware of any horrifying camps that regularly murdered them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hitler was trying to make a strong ally out of Hirohito so it wouldn't have been smart to start the relationship with a genocide of the new friend!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
