what country, you need to more specific!. In the U!.S since they just discovered it, it is most likely to have little cabins, rural area, that you see when you drive alone the south!. But if you are talking about a more developed area like the UK ( england) you would find town houses, that were together, because they didn't have cars back then, so it would be allot of trouble to live in a scatter area, it would would be hard to get to school, and such!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on what part of the country you are talking about!. They had better homes in the eastern and more industrialized states, but in most areas they had no electricity or running water!.
Water was mostly carried in by hand, and kerosene lamps or candles provided light!. We bathed in the kitchen by heating water on the woodstove and putting it into washtubs and taking baths in that!. The smallest kid bathed last and the water was usually dirty by then if there were many older kids!. They usually bathed on Saturday night!. Kids learned to stay clean by swimming in the creeks!.
In the south, many homes were built with an open hallway separating the living and sleeping area from the cooking area!. This was done to prevent the living area from getting too hot in the summer!. Heating was done with a fireplace or wood stove!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
