From what I know
no they did not have the same weapons, Hitler used gas chambers and concentration camps where as the hutus used weapons such as machetes

I'm unsure about the death toll, but type in into a search engine it's sure to come up with something

They're different in that the Jews were targeted by Hitler and had little power to fight back, but in the Rwanda Genocide the Hutus and the Tutsis fought each other

The holocaust was about finding a superior human race and killing the inferiors (blue eyes, blond hairs, being tall were sign of superiority!.!.!.etc)
Rwanda : one of the 2 different "races" was considered superior by white man when colonized, so the inferior race tried to eliminate them (vengeance)
(The tallest ones, with "whitest" traits (like a smaller nose) were seen as superior)
