I couldn't possibly say!. I mean, if slavery was legal, that would assume that we lived in a culture where slavery was taken for granted, and there had been no abolition movement, and people were being brought up to believe that slavery was okay!. In that situation, I might own a slave, I have no idea!.

However, if you mean what if slavery was suddenly made legal again now, then no I certainly would not, and I would oppose any such movement vigorously!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not all slaves were black!.

We absorb our morals from those around us!. If a significant number of other people held slaves it would seem perfectly normal and reasonable!. You might even convince yourself that slaves were better off as slaves!. After all, they are generally looked after by being fed, sheltered and clothed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course, if slavery were legal, how do you know who would be enslaved--you might wind up a slave yourself!.
