I would say typing, filing, customer service, cashering, and money handling were common skills during the 50's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends of the work that the person were going to do!. To work on a factorie you dont need almost anything but be on time and work as hell!. The equivalent of that time of know how to use computers today, was to know how to write!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
