as for the german marks you can have a look at for example this site:

http://sammler!.com/muenzdatenbank/index!.!.!.!.

it's in German but i hope (also because of the pictures) you are able to understand it!. Choose your coin in the left column and click on the picture to get a list !.!.!.!. or type in the year and the place where it was coined (look at the coin !.!. there is a single letter!.!.!. A/D/J!.!.!.!. whatever) to get the information about that special one!.

Normally mark coins of the 80s/90s (especially when you got them out of circulation) aren't of special value!. Especially coins in the 90s!.!.!. because of reunification they had to produce many many coins to that time!. So there are not only many coins!.!.!.but also many coins with a very good quality!. With a circulated coin you won't have much luck then!.

BUT: It highly depends on the amount of coins that were produced to that time!. There had always been years with a low amount of new coins!.!.!. and not only years!.!.!. in this case also the place is very important!.!.it might happen that coins of one year in general have no high value!.!.!. but coins of that year from one place (remember!.!. the letter on it!) are very very rare and of value! This information you will get for example on that website i posted above!.

And of course you can change all your german marks (coins and notes - at least DM !.!. that means after about 1948) at the "Bundesbank" (http://www!.bundesbank!.de !.!.!. you can choose english language there) at the regular DM-EUR exchange rate ( 1 EUR = 1,95583 DM )!. As far as i remember it's also possible to send it by postal/parcel service but check the site there first please!.
Normal banks normally don't change DM->EUR anymore!.

That's what i can tell you about the german marks!.!.!. sorry, but i'm not totally sure how this works in France!. Like in Germany normal banks there normally don't change FRF->EUR anymore!. But (as far as i know) as in Germany with the german "Bundesbank" you can go to the "banque france" there (have a look at http://www!.banque-france!.fr - they also have an english version)!. If it's still possible to change it will be the regular EUR/FRF-rate then (1 EUR = 6,55957 FRF)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You would have to take them to a major bank to redeem them at face value to whatever the Euro is trading for!.

If they're in uncirculated condition, they might be worth more than face value!.

Earlier Francs have been withdrawn and probably worthless to redeem but worth only to collectors!. But, anything from the 80/90's should be able to be redeemed but as I said, you'd have to visit a large bank to do so!. And, don't be surprised if if it takes a day or two for them to give you an exchange rate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is very likely that their exchange value is even lower than their face value, however, some coins are rare and looked for!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can probably get them at the normal exchange rate

it will take another few decades for them to increase in value, as so many people have kept a few coinsWww@QuestionHome@Com

You'll have to ask a banker if they have any value as legal tender!. As to their value as collectors' items, do some research!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Same african nations still use Franc's, so yea you will be able to use those!. German Mark's i have no idea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

none at allWww@QuestionHome@Com
