The father flew SB2C's, if I'm not mistaken, and was the only survivor in a crew of three (one of whom was a friend who took the place of the normal crew member) when he was shot down over Chichi Jima!. The younger Bush flew F-102's!. These were air-defense interceptors too obsolete for use in Vietnam but still in service with the ANG!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The elder President Bush did fly in WWII in the pacific theater, and was shot down, but survived, to some peoples consternation!.
