Question: Does fascism get a free pass in history!?
History, at least in the United States, generally views Communism as a giant threat throughout the 20th century, for obvious reasons!. Does this take away from people understanding the threat and history of fascism!? Students of history often hear how fascists came to power legally!. However, fascists used thugs and murderers to eliminate their competition; hardly what I would consider legal!. A general attitude throughout history has often been, "anything is better than communism" without actually thinking about the consequences of facts!. Would people prefer living in a fascist state or a communist state!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

fascism is currently in power in washington, although it does not like to be called by this nameWww@QuestionHome@Com

Fascism came from corporatism!.
Fascism is extreme corporatism!.
It is when Big Government and Big Business work hand-in-hand for the benefit of each other!.
Big government makes laws to stifle competition against the established businesses, while those businesses reward the government for protecting their cartels!.

Corporatists try to rewrite politics and history to make fascism into totalitarianism, so big businesses controlling the government through multimillion dollar lobbyists, less threatening to freedom!.
It appears that by virtue of being pro-elitism/ pro-capitalism/ pro-corporatism and anti-communism, it does get a free pass!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You can call someone a Communist or Socialist and that can be a compliment in many circles!. Call someone a Facist or Nazi, and that is never a compliment!.

No, Facism does not get a free pass!. It is universally regarded as an insult!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

actually at the time of the second great war both were viewed with abhorrance!. The communists were allowed to survive only because they were our allies against the greater threat, fascism!. Truthfully they aren't all that different and history didn't give fascism a free pass!. Go ahead and point out all the openly fascist governments of the world!. You'll find it much shorter than the list of communists!. honestly though, neither works as a sustainable system so it doesn't really matter!. I suppose if I was forced to choose, I'd go with fascism (assuming I'm part of the dominant group) since it would have a purpose as opposed to communism trying to make everybody happy!.!.!.by force!.!.!.!.you like the only color of shoe we produce!.!.!.!.no!? (bang)!. What about you!? you like the only color of shoe we make right!? Good, I knew you would!.
I'm glad I live in a functional (well somewhat anyway) representative government!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
