Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: it was just an old fashioned thing!. especially now there are enough life boats for everyone to fit so men don't have to wait!. hope that helped :]Www@QuestionHome@Com well i think modern ships/ferry etc wud have more then enough life boats if not then hopefully women & children go first but yay for me i will never have to find out due to the fact that i cud'nt even handle going on a horse pulled boat along a canal without feeling sick so i kno i aint ever going on a boat ever againWww@QuestionHome@Com women and children first is not part of the "law of the sea!." And yes it does exist today, except that since it is an international treaty no one can truly enforce it upon others, and it is only used when it is convenient!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
