I found a US Census chart that lists prices for various goods year by year!. It lists bread prices starting with the year 1912!. In 1912, bread cost, on average, 5!.6 cents!. It was up to 11!.5 cents by 1920!. (These bread prices are listed as per pound)

The census lists rent prices for each year!. I did find a site that gives examples of house prices in the 1920s!. They range from the $2000s - $5000s, depending on the size of the home!.

Average salary between 1910-1919 = $750 / yearWww@QuestionHome@Com

If by ____ you mean sex, it was probably about 15 shillings or 3/4 of a pound in the UK before the first World War!. I've calculated on the basis of a bottle of whisky, which went up from 2/6 to 17/6 from 1914 to 1945, when the going rate for paid sex was £5
You have made the mistake of choosing a decade where prices went from long-continued stability to great volatility!. The same with exchange rates - that 15 shillings was more than THREE $!.
(You probably didn't mean that, but I just thought you'd be interested!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was a lot of inflation in that decade due to World War I!.

A loaf of bread might cost a nickel!.

A house, maybe $2500!.

A good income would have been $1500 a year!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a loaf of bread in 1910 was !.03 cents
